CROSS-COUNTRY RUN The John McGlashan College’s annual cross-country run was held last Friday in fine weather. Some fast times were returned over a difficult three-mile course, and alf runners who took part in last, year's race improved their times considerably. The fastest time was returned by E. McDouall, who bettered his last year’s figure by 28sec, covering the distance in 18min 14aec. K. Moore made the second fastest time—lSmin 40sec, and N Buckley (18min 59sec) . was third. Eighty-three, boys started. The open results were as follows: — Primary School: M. Hercus. S. 11l (9mm). R. Reid. s. 11l mrnin). 22min 57sec, 2; ,8.. ..Sandersorr, St. IV (7Jmln). 23mih.30ssc, 3..
