MRS JOHN STEVENSON, of Balclutha, has achieved another distinction by her selection as “Countess of South Otago.” Mrs Stevenson is, the wife of Flightlieutenant J. H. Stevenson, Adjutant at the North Taieri Air Force Station, and, in private life, Mayor of Balclutha. As Mayoress, Mrs Stevenson is exceedingly efficient and popular. She is also the chairwoman of the Balclutha Ladies’ Patriotic Committee.
