MISS JOAN SCAIFE, “Countess of the Lakes,” comes to serve the Air Force Queen as a Maid of Honour from the well-known Glendhu Station. The daughter of Mr and Mrs Willis Scaife, she takes her full share of the work of the station, and still finds time to devote to her hobbies of riding, golf, and tennis. She accepts her tasks with a cheerfulness which is expressive of a happy disposition and strong character.
