DEBUTANTES’ DANCE
The young friends of Misses Kathleen and Patricia de Lautour, twin daughters of Dr and Mrs C. E. de Lautour, were present at a delightful dance given at their home in Moray place on Thursday night to celebrate their debuts. The hall and reception rooms were decorated with bowls of spring flowers, and gay coloured streamers were suspended above the dance floor, Mrs de Lautour. who received the guests, wore an unusual and becoming marocain gown comprising a flame, silver-edged bolero and black skirt, with back panel and bustle bow in flame. Miss Kathleen wore a pretty gown of white tinselled lace, with square-cut neckline and all-over design of small pink and blue flowers. Her sash and bandeau were of white velvet, and she carried a nosy of irises and hyacinths in shades of purple and white Miss Patricia was attired in while silk organdie, patterned in tinsel thread, and featuring the new lower waistline from which billowed a full gathered skirt. Her simple toilet was completed with a bandeau of white velvet, and she carried hyacinths and carnations in shades of pink and white. Music for dancing was provided by Dick Colvin’s Orchestra.
