ONSLOW LADIES’ CLUB The first round of the Onslow Ladies’ Club’s Four-ball Knock-out Competition was played on Thursday, the results being as follows: —Mesdames Pinkham and Oxley defeated Mesdamos Halliday and Hogan 9 and 7j Mesdames Holloway and Gore defeated Mesdames Megget and Allan 4 and 3; Mesdames Brown and McKenzie defeated Mesdames Howley and Evans 6 and 4; Mesdames Blackie and Maclean defeated Mesdames Pink and Abernethy 3 and 1; Mesdames Renton and Mathers defeated Mesdames Swanson and Snow 2 and 1; Mrs C. E. Begg and Miss V. Hunt defeated Mesdames Jones and Sinclair 1 up. Mrs Megget defeated Mrs Howley at the twenty-third in the first round of the Championship Match. ST. CLAIR CLUB A four-ball bogey competition over 36 holes, open to members of affiliated clubs, will be played on the St. Clair links during the week-end, the proceeds to be given to the Navy Queen funds. Entries in fours will be accepted by the club professional, with whom starting times may be arranged.
