PACIFIC AIRWAYS
HONOLULU CLIPPER ARRIVES NINE PASSENGERS ON BOARD (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, Sept. 26. After an uneventful trip from Noumea, the Honolulu Clipper of PanAmerican Airways arrived at Auckland at 2.29 this afternoon on the conclusion of a flight from San Francisco. The flight was carried out according to schedule and without incident, stated Captain Barrows, who was in command. The trip from Noumea was covered in 6hr 59min, which was stated to be well within the average scheduled time. Seven of the nine passengers are bound for Australia, and most of them will leave by the Tasman Empire Airways flying boat on Saturday morning. The passengers were: Mr Keith Office, Australian Counsellor in Washington: Mr V. Jurkens, an American journalist; Mr W. Rothfield. of Melbourne; Mr C. McKay, of Melbourne; Mr Floyd Soto, of Los Angeles; Mr Ellis Wackett. of Melbourne; Mr F. J. Cordall. of San Francisco; and Messrs R. M. Wilson and P. W. Farley, two students at Yale University.
The Clipper is scheduled to leave on Saturday morning on her return flight to San Francisco, and her passengers are likely to include several who are due to arrive on the Tasman flying boat from Sydney to-morrow afternoon.
