! MONTHLY MEETING The monthly meeting of the Otago Hospital Board was held last night, the chairman (Mr J. W, Dove) presiding. There were also present Messrs A. Steel, R. Wall. W. H. McLeod. A. F. Quelch, Dr W. Newlands. Miss Farquhar"and Mrs Ross. Hospital Statistics The medical superintendent "(Dr J. Thomson) submitted the following statistics for Dunedin Hospital for the month ended on August 31:—Patients remaining on July 31, 381; admitted during August, 541; total treated. 922; discharged, 554; died, 26; remaining on August 31. 342: outpatients treated, 2270.—Noted. Accounts Remitted On the recommendation of the secretary accounts amounting to £2710 13s, 2d were remitted. * ' Tenders Accepted The following tenders for fuel for the board's institutions were accepted: Steam Kaitangata coal and lignite, Dunedin Hospital, Graham Coal Company; Southland dross, Talboys Home, Westport Coal Company; lignite. Talboys Home. Graham Coal Company; fuel for Dunedin Hospital and town institutions, Kaitangata coal, coke and Southland dross, H E. McArthur; fuel for Wakari Hospital and Hill Jack Home, Kaitangata coal and coke. H E. McArthur; Southland dross, H. McFarlane -and Co.; outdoor, relief, Kaitangata coal and lignite. A Taylor and Sons; : „ „ ~ ~, The tender of Messrs H. Moult. Ltd., representing Express S.M. lifts, was accepted for the supply of a lift to the Nurses' Home.
