RENTS IN CANADA
LEVELS TO BE PEGGED OTTAWA, Sept. 25. The first action of the new Federal Rent Control Authority, under the war-time Prices Board order, which will operate on October 1, is the pegging of rents at the levels obtaining on January 1 last. Thirty-six municipalities throughout Canada are affected.
