PALMERSTON Queen Carnival Committee A meeting of the Palmerston Queen Carnival Committee was held on Tuesday night, when ail sub-committees reported progress in connection with the various functions that were being arranged. It was decided not to have the shoot in connection with the sports on Saturday, but to hold it on October 5 at 2 p.m. A representative basketball match, North v South, will be nlaved •' 2 o’clock, and the Dunedin Police will olav a local representative team at 3.30. It was reported that the proce'ds of the primary schools’ sports to be held on October 19 will go to the carnival fund, and will be divided equally between Waikouaiti and Waihemo districts Home Nursing Class During the past few' weeks Sister Voting has been conducting a home nursing class.
