GUY FAWKES DAY

APPEAL TO SCHOOL CHILDREN (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND. Sept. 25. The appeal made to the pupils by the head master of the Dominion Road School, Auckland, to forgo the proceeds of their Guy Fawkes celebrations and devote the funds to patriotic purposes has been brought under the notice of the Governor-General. Viscount Galway, by the secretary of the school committee, who suggests the possibility of making the appeal a national one. Lord Galway has replied that he is arranging for the proposal to be discussed by the National Patriotic Fund Board.
