JOCKEYS' LICENCES
THREE APPEALS AUDWED:. TWO OTHERS DISMISSED (Per United Phess Association) . WELLINGTON, Sept. 24. The result of appeals by five jockeys against the- decision of the-Executive Committee of the New Zealand:Racing Conference in granting them for the 1940-41 racing season three months conditional jockey's licences to expire in October 31. 1940. was announced to-night. '-:'- . The appeals of Percy Burgess, Arthur Ernest Didham. and George Ronald Tattersall were upheld and the Executive Committee is to be directed to issue to them jockeys'-licences.to expire on July 31, 1941. ■ i j '£ The appeals of William James Broughton and Harold Norman. Wiggins were dismissed and the judges ordered that in each case the amount lodged with the appeal (£10) should be retained by the conference. .•
