"QUIET WEDDING"
Although this week's -Repertory play fc described as a comedy, it carries as its principal message a controversy on modern standards of morality. Esther McCracken places her young couple in the unenviable position of having to face a choice between moral rectitude and future happiness. It is delicate ground, but the author handles the problem with such understanding that, while sympathy lies with the lovers, the parents' equally delicate plight is regarded as merely the subject of merriment. Dunedin theatre-goers are certain of much hilarious entertainment, but thev will come away from the final act with something to think about. The cast includes some of the most experienced Repertory members.
