Herbert Munro Hughes, aged 18, a half-caste Maori, died in the Te Puia Hospital yesterday from injuries received when he fell down the hold of the steamer Kopara, while assisting to discharge cargo from the .vessel at Hicks Bay last week. INJURY TO EYE '' ; 7 Overton Reed, a middle-aged man, who lives, near Milton, suffered-an eye injury when a nail flew up and struck him while he was repairing a fence yesterday. He was admitted to the Dunedin Hospital at 9.30 p.m. INJURIES TO HEAD A seven-year-old boy named Kevin Boyle, who lives in Maclaggan street, was admitted to hospital yesterday afternoon with head injuries. He was playing with two other boys at Jubilee Park, and while they were climbing a bank a stone was dislodged and fell oa Boyle's head.
