WRESTLING
McCREADY v. KATAN The proud place which McCready has held in New Zealand wrestling during the past five or six seasons has been seriously challenged this year by John Katan, his countryman from Alberta, and the rivalry between these fine wrestlers will be carried a stage further at the Dunedin Town Hall tomorrow night when they will meet with the British Empire professional heavy-weight title at stake. It would probably be hard to find another two wrestlers in the Empire between whom the question of superiority has been so long in dispute. Soon after McCready turned professional he met Katan and was beaten by him. Later he had his revenge and went on to win the Empire title off Jack Taylor. Unable to get a match against McCready. Katan came out to New Zealand and ended McCready's long reign as champion. Katan found the title difficult to hold and, after he had been beaten by Blomfield, he had a hard struggle to get it back again. Then he ran into McCready and. on Tuesday night he will have his last chance to settle the matter to his own satisfaction against McCready.
