"Is there any restriction to the droving of stock on Sundays? " asked Mr J. Primrose at a meeting of the Waikato County Council. He said that the practice was becoming very prevalent. Chinese were prosecuted . for working in their gardens on Sundays, he added, but stock drovers were apparently permitted to do as they wished.' Mr R. G Young said it was a kindness to stock to drove them on Sundays because of the lessened .traffic nn the roads. No action was taken.
