MEETING OF DUNEDIN CENTRE FIXTURES FOR SEASON A meeting of delegates to the Dunedin Bowline Centre was held on Saturday night. Mr W. D. Richards occupying the chair. Programme Approved On the recommendation of the Draw Committee, the following programme was approved for the forthcoming season: —November 2—December 21. club matches; December 28, Christmas tourney; January 11, Dominion tourney at Christchurch; January 25 and February 10 and 15. club matches; February 8, Southland v. Otago; February 28 and March 1, Champion of Champions; February 22, South Otago tournev and Elderly Bowlers' day; March 8 and 15, club matches; March 22 and '24, Adess Shield and leads arid seconds' tourney; March 29. club match; April 5, North Otago and South Otago; April 12—19, Easter tourney. The four-rink programme was set down -for November 25, December 2, 9 and 16. January 27. February 3. 10, 17 and 24. It was decided to adopt a zoning svstem for the four-rink competition, the zones to be as follows:—South: Green Island. Caversham, St. Clair. St. Kilda. Tainui, Anderson's Bay; north: Dunedin. Leith, North-East • Valley, Opoho. Logan Park. West Harbour, Caledonian; Hill: Balmacewen. Kaituna. Kaikorai. Mornington, Otago Rosljn. On behalf of the Draw Committee Mr J. Forster reported that 92 entries had been received for the Saturday competition compared with 90 for last season. A bye had been created, as some clubs had entered fewer rinks in a section than provided for in the rules. —In accordance with the rules it was decided to accept entries only from three-rink sections. It was reported that 44 rinks had been entered for the Wednesday petitionGeneral Messrs H S. Reid and the chairman were appointed to represent the centre at. a meeting to be held on Thursday for the purpose of discussing the formation of a federation of sports bodies. The Logan Park Club was granted permission to hold a one-day fours tournament on January 11. An application by the North-East Valley Club for permission to hold a tournament on October 19 was also granted. It was decided to take up a collection on all greens on the opening day of the season, the proceeds to be devoted towards the funds of the Navy Queen.
