ro THE EDITOR Sir, —If the shortage of petrol is so acute that the motor trade has been put in the position that it has had to dispense with the services of a large proportion of its employees and that employers cannot receive anything like an adequate return for capital involved, how is it that Mr Mason, the. Minister of Education, is able to motor from Christchurch to Invercargill on a road running parallel with railways all the way?—l am, etc., Voter. Dunedin, Sept. 20.
