KILLED BY A BOMB

NEW ZEALAND SINGER LONDON, Sept. 18. The singer, Hinemoa Rosieur, of Auckland, was killed by a bomb. Mr Jordan attended the funeral. Hinemoa Rosieur, a dramatic soprano, was the first vocalist to win the Melba scholarship. She left New Zealand for Melbourne in 1934, and went to London in 1938. She sang many times before Royalty and was understudying prominent opera singers. When war broke out Miss Rosieur commenced nursing in a hospital and was known as “ the singing nurse.” She was 27 years of age.
