SCATTERED SHOWERS PROBABLE Forecast for Otago.—The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was issued at 5 p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:— Fresh to strong south-westerly winds. Weather cloudy, with scattered showers. Temperatures cool. Seas moderate on the east coast, otherwise rough. Dominion Forecast.— Pressure is high over the north Tasman Sea and northern New Zealand. A vigorous depression is centred south-west of the South Island. Weather unsettled in Westland, with intermittent, rain and drizzle. Elsewhere fair to fine at first, but scattered showers extending later to eastern districts of the South Island and to districts west of he main ranges of the North Island. Temperatures mild, but becoming cooler in the south. Weather in Dunedin; , .Unusually warm conditions were experienced in Dunedin yesterday. There was a moderate north-west breeze, and the maximum temperature was 70 degrees. The barometer fell to 29.75 inches (1007 millibars) and rose again to 2 f '.94 inches (1014 millibars).
