ADDINGTON STOCK SALE
STORE SHEEP IN DEMAND (Per United Press Association! CHRISTCHURCH. Sept. 18. A small entry of store sheep at Addington to-day met keen competition, with values fully up to recent rates. Hoggets sold particularly well. The fat sheep entry numbered 3000, and the quality vVas mixed. There was a strong demand, with prices 2s a head above last week’s rates Prime heavy wethers sold at 47s to 545, medium wethers 39s to 46s 6d, prime ewes 40s to 525. and ordinary ewes 30s to 39s Gd. The fat-cattle entry was. 388, and there tvas a keen sale for best beef, values being fullv firm. D '°in sorts, however,
met a slower inquiry. Good beef sold at 52s 6d per 1001 b, with best at 57s 7d.' Prive heavy steers made £lB to £2s' 7s 6d, medium £ll 10s to £lB, best heifers £l4 to £2l 7s 6d, others to £l3 10s, best cows £ll to £l7 12s 6d,-and others to £lO. ■ ■ : ■' Y; : There was a large yarding of porkers, and values eased 3s to 4s. .
