FOURTH REINFORCEMENTS MOBILISATION DATE FIXED (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 17. "I am glad to say that the outbreak of measles which resulted in a postponement of the calling up of men of the Fourth Reinforcements has been verv limited in extent." said the Minister of Defence, Mr F. Jones, to-day. "After consultation with the Director-general of Health, Dr M. H. Watt, and the Directorgeneral of Medical Services, Lieutcolonel T. W. Bowerbank. it has now been decided to proceed with the programme of concentrating; the men in their respective mobilisation camps and arrangements are in hand for the necessary movements of troops to begin on October 2. "Although a further outbreak of measles is not regarded as likely," the Minister added, "a recrudescence of the epidemic may necessitate a further postponement of the concentration of the Fourth Reinforcements. Members of this draft, therefore, are instructed to remain in their present employment pending reedct of individual orders to proceed to camp."
