DAILY INTERCESSION

THE SUSTAINING MERCY Unless the Lord had been my help, my soul had soon dwelt in silence. When 1 said, my joot slippeth, Thy mercy, O Lord, held me up. In the multitude of my thoughts within me Thy comforts delight my soul (Psalm xciv: 17-19). O God, our shield in danger, we beseech Thee to protect our sailors, soldiers, and airmen, that with courage, endurance, and selfrestraint they may meet whatever trials they may be called upon to face; shelter them in the day of battle, and in time of peace keep them safe from all evil: through Jesus Christ our Lord.
