BRITISH FLYING BOAT REPORTED TO BE MISSING MONTREAL, Sept. 16. (Received Sept. 17, at 2 a.m.) According to the Daily News, it is reported, without confirmation, that the British flying boat Clare is missing on her third hop to New York, and it is feared that she is lost, since an unidentified large plane is reported to have been forced down near Iceland on Saturday. DUCHY OF LUXEMBURG FRENCH NAMES BANNED (By Wireless) DAVENTRY. Sept. 16. Reports from Luxemburg state that efforts are being continued to bring the Duchy, which has a population of 300,000, fully under German control. The latest edicts give September 30 as the last date by which French ames have to be changed to German. The teaching of French in schools is prohibited. Already the Duchy is under the control of the German Customs.
