ST. KILDA COUNCIL

FORTNIGHTLY MEETING The fortnightly meeting of the St. Kilda Borough Council was held last night and was attended by the Mayor (Mr J. J. Marlow), and Crs N. D. Anderson G. Glue, W. J. Lovell, R. S. Brent, T. B. D. Roy. J. C. Cherry. J. H. Hinton, E Longworth, and H H. Johnson. Financial The Finance Committee recommended the payment of accounts amounting to £1859 3s The receipts for the past fortnight came to £621 10s Hd. The bank balance was in credit £1334 6s 9d The recommendation was approved Water Consumption The water consumption for the past fortnight, was reported to be 2.320.000 gallons, at a cost of £9l 16s Bd. For the previous fortnight the cost was £95 13s 5d , Departmental Reports The inspector (Mr F. T. De Largey) reported having issued 89 motor driver licences and 18 heavy traffic licences for the fortnight ended September 14. The works foreman (Mr J. C. Clyma) and the plumber (Mr A. N. Shopperd) submitted reports covering their respective activities. The reports were adopted.
