PROBLEM FOR NAZIS

A SHORTAGE OF PILOTS ITALIANS TRANSFERRED LONDON, Sept. 11. The British United Press correspondent on the German frontier learns that Italian pilots are being transferred to Germany a a result of the shortage of Gernar pilots. September 16 is now mentioned as the vital date of the German programme. An Air Ministry communique states that the majority of the bombs so far dropped on London have ranged from 251 bto 1001 b. A small percentage have been of the 2501 b type, and some of 10001 b have been dropped on docks. These are believed to be the heaviest types that Germany posseses, but they are considered uneconomical.

Bond street and Burlington arcade were damaged in last night’s raids.
