INDIA’S FIELD ARMY
STRENGTH TO BE INCREASED RECRUITING STARTED LONDON, Sept. 10. The Simla correspondent of The Times says the Government has begun recruiting and equipping the first 100,000 under a scheme for increasing the strength of the field army. Recruits are enrolling at the rate of 15,000 a month.
