RIFLE SHOOTING
DUNEDIN DEFENCE CLUB The Dunedin Defence Rifle Club fired a three-range shoot on Saturday. The ranges to count for the championship were 300 yards and 600 yards, one optional sighter and seven counting shots. Conditions were fair at the short range, but were tricky at 600 yards. R. Mullenger scored a possible 33 at 300 yards, and R. McKeich 33 at 600 yards. McKeich. Parker, and Mullenger each scored 63 off the rifle, the first-named taking pride of place on the count back. KAITANGATA CLUB
The Kaitang3T.fi Defence Rifle Club fired the final stage of the Centrcwood Cup competition on Saturday, Ten counting shots »nd one optional sighter were fired at 300 and 500 yards. With one three-range match to be fired, the leading scores for the Centrewood Cup are;—R. G. Anderson 283, A. Richardson 279, and M, Brown 277. ' For the championship the leaders are:—A.
