The last meeting of Linden Lodge was held on February 6, A.D. Bro. Lewis presiding over a fair attendance of officers and brethren. The weather accounted for the small muster. A welcome visitor was D.P.-elect No. 1 district, and he received a hearty welcome. All members of Linden are requested to keep February 27 free for a letter was received from Court Little John requesting the attendance of officers and members of Linden Lodge to a social evening on that date. Sick pay and accounts were passed for payment, and the Arch Druid closed the lodge for a game of cards.
Members are reminded that next lodge night is quarter night.. H.A.D. Bro. Morrison presided over an excellent attendance of officers and members of the Eoyal Arch Chapter v at the last meeting. The secretary submitted the annual report to be forwarded to the grand president. P.A.'s Bros. R, McFadgen and J. Davidson, of Pride of Morhington Lodge, received their Past Arch degrees. A small committee was set up to gointo the Question of entertaining sister chapters. It 'was decided to visit Enterprise Lodge on February 28 and Good Intent Lodge on March 6. < Supper was served early and the second half of the evening was devoted to cards. At the last fortnightly meeting of Ivanhoe Lodge, A.D. Bro, Anderson presided over a good attendance of members. Included in the correspondence was a letter from AH Nations Lodge accepting the challenge for the euchre shield for February 27. Bro. T. Gray was elected to fill the vacant O.G. chair. The select committee reported and recommended that the question of the lodge’s diamond jubilee celebrations be held over until after the May quarter. The executive committee submitted a syllabus for 1940, which was adopted. Treasurer Bro. C, Wilson renorted on the cricket club’s activities; Secretary Bro. Brockle wa* deputised to extend Ivanhoe’s fraternal greeting to any lodge he might visit while on holiday in the North Island, The business was disposed of early, and the social side of the lodge was catered for with card playing., Mem- 1 bers are reminded that next lodge night is quarter night. . ■ -
