PROMINENT BOXER

MAURICE STRICKLAND RETURNS (Per United .Press Association) AUCKLAND, Feb. 17. Considered a promising contender for the world .icavy-weighl boxing title, Maurice Strickland, the New Zealand professional, returned to Auckland to-day by the Mariposa with his wife and small son. He said he was finished with boxing for the time being, and was looking for r business in the Dominion.

He added that a tentative offer had been made to him to meet the South African boxer, Ben Foord.
