TAIERI ANGLERS’ CLUB

ANNUAL SOCIAL There was a large attendance of anglers at the annual smoke social of the Taleri Anglers’ Club on Saturday night. The visitors Included three members of the committee of the Otago Acclimatisation Society from Dunedin—Messrs D. Hunter, Young, and G. Howes. An appropriate toast list was honoured, and this was interspersed with vocal and musical items by friends of the club. Mr J. Campbell (president) presided, and during the evening he presented the cups and prizes won during last season. This year’s officers are as follows: President, Mr J. Campbell: senior vicepresident, Mr J. Stewart: junior vicepresident, Mr J. Anderson: immediate past president, Mr S. McMillan: auditor, Mr P. Ralston: join secretaries, Messrs C. Cameron and A. Thomson: committee— Messrs J. Poland, R. Mehalski, G. Hendry, S. McDonald, F. Ferguson, C. Bruce, H. North. H. Millar, W. Ritchie. A. Murdock, and H. Mills.
