RIBBON PARADE
DUNEDIN FANCIERS’ CLUB A SUCCESSFUL EXHIBITION The ribbon parade held on Saturday night under the auspices of the Dunedin Fanciers’ Club was successful in every way, the entries, although not as large as bn some previous occasions, being more than sufficient to keep the judge (Mr A. B. Fraser) fully occupied during the evening. In addition to the important stakes classes, which were well patronised, there was a score of special ribbons allotted for the best of the breeds, while the ordinary breed classes brought forward some excellent quality of animals. The dogs present included practically every important breed, from the toy Pomeranians and Pekingese to the huge Great Danes and Borzois, which attracted considerable attention from the fair crowd of spectators. Fox terriers, both smooth coated and wire haired, were prominent in the ring, and other breeds of terrier, collies, Alsatians, and spaniels were also well represented.
