THE AMERICAN TITLES SEMI-FINALS PLAYED FOREST HILLS, Sept. 16. (Received Sept. 17, at 10 p.m.) In the semi-finals of the National Singles the results were as follows: Men Van Horn defeated Bromwich 2_6, 4—6. 6—2, 6—4, B—6. Riggs defeated Joe Hunt 6—l, 6—2, 4—6, 6—l. Women Miss Jacobsj defeated Miss Stammers 7—5, 6—o. Miss Marble defeated Miss Wolfenden 6—o, 6—l.
