CONCERT AT SEACLIFF

— —— The patients at Seacliff Mental Hospital were entertained last evening by the Trinity Methodist Choir, under the baton of Mr Wilson, and assisting artists. The agent for the Patient? and Prisoners' Aid Society introduced the performers and expressed his indebtedness to them for coming out to entertain the patients. The church choir opened with the National Anthem and also rendered the anthems, " Sun of My Soul," "All in the April Evening," and "The Day Thou Gavest." The Bible Class choir sang the glees, " John Peel" and "As Torrents in Summer." Solos were contributed by Mrs Roberts, Misses West, Green, Bain, Messrs J. Galloway, Roland Dunbar, Evan Tuckwell, and W. Lane; duets, Misses Bain and M'Lean; recitations—Misses Kirkham, Smith, and the Rev. C. H. Olds; monologue, Mr Baird; character sketch, Miss Biggs; and violin solos, Miss Eva Judd. At the conclusion of the programme, which was greatly enjoyed by the Satients, the medical superintendent, ir H. D. Hayes, expressed thanks on behalf of the inmates to the choirmaster, the choir, and the individual performers.
