FINAL SPEECH AT CONGRESS BOLSHEVISM ATTACKED (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) NUREMBERG, Sept. 15. (Received Sept. 15, at 10.30 p.m.) Though Herr Hitler in a final speech attacked Bolshevism in most violent terms he did not take his anti-Russian campaign to the expected climax. The Times says: " The extremists are now consoling themselves with the reflection that even if Herr Hitler had not plainly declared that Germany would not sit at any conference table with the Soviet delegates the fact that she would not do so ought to be clear enough from his Nuremberg speeches. It is stated that he received 'go easy' hints not only from his own Foreign Office but also from certain foreign diplomatists who attended the congress." GERMAN ARMY'S EFFICIENCY NUREMBERG, Sept. 15. (Received Sept. 16, at 1 a.m.) Excitement ran wild at Nuremberg until late last night. Thousands, cheering and singing, surrounded Herr Hitler's hotel, and the scene recalled that witnessed in the Wilhelmstrasse, Berlin, at the outbreak of war, a solid mass of people singing " Deutschland Über Alles " and such Nazi songs as " Germany Is Ours To-day; the Whole World Is Ours To-morrow." Herr Hitler appeared several times on the balcony. The military manoeuvres at the closing of the congress left no doubt among the onlookers that Germany's army is as efficient as it was in 1915. Foreign attaches were most impressed by the deadly accuracy with which most modern bombers destroyed a model village, the inhabitants of which were gas-masked and scurried to cellars Then followed a demonstration of the latest methods of trench warfare, revealing that Germany has trebled her heavy tanks and other equipment within a year. The display concluded with General Blomberg presenting the army with new colours. i A JEWISH PROTEST GENEVA, Sept. 15. (Received Sept. 16, at 1 a.m.) The Jewish Congress sent a strongly-worded declaration to the League and various Governments nrotesting against the campaign of threats and defamation at Nuremberg, especially the absurd statement that Jewry and Bolshevism were identical. On the contrary, it was German militarism, leading up to the Great War, which facilitated the rise of Bolshevism.
