COASTWISE MOVEMENTS Breeze arrived at Dunedin yesterday afternoon, and after discharging and loading general cargo sailed again last evening for Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Wanganul. Wainui completed loading general cargo yesterday afternoon and sailed for Wellington, Napier and Glsborne. Waipiata, which arrlvea at Dunedin yesterday afternoon from Auckland, via ports, Is scheduled to sail this morning for Bluff, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Auckland. Port Walkato Is due at Dunedin to-day and will sail this evening for Tauranga, Auckland, and Whangarei, via ports. Storm Is due to reach Dunedin on Friday from Bluff, and will load and sail the same day for Wellington, Pit-ton and Wangauui, via ports. Holmlea Is expected to reach Dunedin tomorrow from Wellington. She will load and sail the same day for Wellington, New Plymouth and Port Walkato, via ports. . Holnidale is now scheduled to arrive at Dunedin on Saturday from Wanganul and Wellington. She will sail the same day for Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttcllon, Wellington. Plcton and Wanganul. Waimarino is scheduled to sail from Auckland on Saturday for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff. She is due here on Wednesday next. Port Whangarei Is due to clear Auckland on Friday for Dunedin, via Wellington and Lyttelton. She Is expected here on Wednesday next and will sail again the same day for Tauranga, Auckland and Whangarei, via ports, Walpahl is expected to leave Gisborne tomorrow for Dunedin. She will load out on Monday for Wellington, Nelson and New Plymouth, via ports. Kaimal left Westport yesterday morning for Lyttelton, Timaru, Oamaru and Dunedin. She Is due here on Sunday and will load out the following day for Westport. Wlngatui sailed from Wellington last night for Lyttelton, Oamaru and Dunedin. She Is due here on Friday and will sail on Saturday for Wellington and Auckland, via Oamaru, Timaru and Lyttelton. WAIKOUAITI TO SAIL The Waikouaitl Is scheduled to sail this afternoon for Timaru, Lyttelton, Bluff, Sydney and Newcastle. TACOMA STAR AT DUNEDIN Tho Tacoma Star, from London direct, arrived at Dunedin yesterday afternoon and berthed at the Victoria wharf. She Is expected to sail on Friday for Lyttelton to complete discharge of her Home cargo, and will then proceed to Australian ports to load. HERTFORD FOR BLUFF The Hertford Is to sail this morning for Bluff to complete discharge and commence Homeward loading. WAIRANGI FOR PORT CHALMERS The Wairangl sailed from London on August 28 for Lyttelton, via Suva, and is due on the New Zealand coast on October 5. She is scheduled to reach Port Chalmers on October 8, Bluff on October 12, and Timaru on October 15, where she will complete her discharge of Home cargo. Her subsequent movements have not been disclosed. TAMAROA'S MOVEMENTS The Tamaroa, which is at present at Auckland, Is expected to sail to-day for Wellington, Lyttelton and Port Chalmers. She Is due at the last-named port on September 25, and will sail again on September 29 for Wellington and Auckland. She will sail finally from the latter port on October 9 for Southampton, where she Is due on November 11. MARAMA TO WITHDRAW The Union Company's Intercolonial steamer Maramn left Sydney on Thursday for Wellington, being due there to-day. She will withdraw from the Sydney run, re-entering the Wellington-South Island-Melbourne service towards the end of October lONIC LATER The lonic, en routo to New Zealand from England, is expected to arrive at Wellington on October 15. instead of October 12. her scheduled date. MODERN COASTAL FREIGHTER The new Huddart, Parker freighter Adelong. which arrived at Melbourne on September 7 on her maiden voyage. Is the most modern coastal freighter seen in Australian waters. Of 3577 tons gross register, she has a speed of more than 13 knots, and. with a deadweight capacity of 5000 tons, she will maintain a fast service between Newcastle, Sydney Melbourne*. Geelong and Adelaide.
WEATHER FORECAST The following I? the official weather forecast : An anti-cyclone is crossing the northern portion of the Dominion, while the first of a series of rather Intense westerly depressions 13 approaching across the south Tasman Soa. Indications are for: Winds—Light 'to moderate south-westerly at tlrat over the northern half of the North Island, otherwise moderate to strong, westerly to north-westerly prevailing, rising to gale force in places especially ahout and south of Cook Strait. Sons—New Zealand Waters— Rough south of Cape Egmont and in the Cook and Foveaux Straits areas, elsewhere slight to moderate but rising off the east coast of the South Island.— Eastern Tasman-Sea—North-west to wosl winds, strong to gale force and rough seas.
