WAIHOU VALLEY MURDERER

POLICE SEARCH CONTINUES (Per United Press Association) WHANGAREI. Sept. 15. Although the staff has been reduced the police have by no" means relaxed their efforts to solve the mystery rurrounding the death of Ernest Deverin Nelson, who was found murdered on his Waihou Valley property. From a few hours after the discovery of the crime on the evening of June 9 the police have been continually on the trail, and their inquiries, which have covered a wide area have been most exhaustive. Apparently the reward ol £250 offered by the Justice Department for information leading to the apprehension of the murderer has not borne fruit. Detective Sergeant Walsh. Detective A. Nalder. and Acting Detective Appelin. together with three constables continue to make their headquarters in the Rangiahua Valley.
