PARIS OPERA HOUSE

AN OUTBREAK OF FIRE THE STAGE DAMAGED LONDON, Sept. 13. The famous Paris Opera House had a narrow escape from destruction by fire which broke out early in the morning, apparently due to a short circuit. Nine brigades succeeded in quelling the fire after three hours’ work. The stage was damaged by flames and water, but the auditorium was not damaged.
