KAITANGATA RIFLE CLUB
The annual meeting of the Kaitangata Defence Rifle Club was held on Saturday, when there was a good attendance of members. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—Patrons—Messrs M. Carson, J. Fenton, P. M’Skimming, F. Waite, M.L.C., J. Roy, M.P., J. Coulter, and A. Stewart; president, Mr M. Brown; deputy president, Mr R. M’Crostie; vice-presidents—Messrs T. Espie, M. Myers, A. B. Aitken, J. Owens, J. Hay, T. Middlemass, and Dr Dodds; secretary and treasurer, Mr W. Oliver; Executive Committee —Messrs M. Brown, R. M’Crostie, W. Oliver, T. Frazer, R. Kitto, A. Richardson, and R. Mackie; handicappers, Messrs M. Brown and W. Oliver; trench officer, Mr J. Dick; range officer, Mr T. Frazer; auditors, Messrs T. Espie and M. Brown: handicapper for ladies’ match, Mr T. Frazer. The annual subscription was fixed at 10s for members and 5s for new members. Opening day was fixed for October 3 with the usual match, President v. Deputy President, the ladies to be invited. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to all donors of prizes, and cash donations.
