(Per United Press Association) HAWERA Sepf. 12. By an almost unanimous decision, the Hawera retailers to-day decided to revert to Saturday as the half holiday. The indications are that Patea, Eltham, Optmake, and Stratford will follow Hawera’s example WELLINGTON. Sept. 12. Pleading guilty to thefts totalling £32 6s, James Douglas Galbraith, aged 25 years, a salesman, was admitted to probation for 18 months. The money represented sums collected as a debt collector and not accounted for. Most of the money belonged in Greymouth. Edward John Hill, aged 31 years, was charged with thefts totalling £7l 13s 4d and was remanded to Greymouth on bail of £SO
