DRUIDISM

Otago Lodge met last Monday evening when Arch Druid Bro. Harbour had the pleasure of presiding over a good attendance of members and visitors. Correspondence included invitations from the Royal Arch Chapter and the Linden Lodge for the euchre shield match, and from the U.F.S. Council regarding medical fees and doctors’ hours, which will be considered later. Sick Bards reported on the sick brethren, and it was noted that the numbers had increased, including some hospital cases. One candidate presented the usual certificate, and was successfully initiated into the Order, the officers- giving a good presentation of the ceremony. D.P. Bro Tyrrell and representatives of other lodges were welcome visitors The company was later entertained by Bro. J. T. Leech and his concert party to a high-class programme of items. The following contributed to the programme:—Song, Miss Dorothy Barron, violin solo, Mr W. Le GaT song, Mrs W. Hall-Masters; song. Mr R. Duerdon; recital. Miss Billie Robinson: song. Miss Anne White: song. Miss Phyllis Clare; violin solo Mr W. Le Gal; song, Mrs John T. Leech. The accompanists were Mrs W. Le Gal and Mrs J. T. Leech.
