FREEDOM OF SPEECH
10 CHS EDITOR Sir,—The behaviour of the Labour and Communist electors for Manukau is quite fair and just, according to the new morality of the Communist Party. I should explain that this new morality is based on the openly professed principle that whatever promotes revolution is good, wise, noble and just. Free speech, therefore, is good for Communists, but bad for any other party. Of course ordinary members of the community cannot understand the practice of the Labour and Communist Parties in this matter. It seems inconsistent with their professions. Once, however, that we understand this new moral principle, we can see that, both the Labour Party and its friends, the Communists, are quite consistent in demanding free speech and propaganda paid out of Government funds for themselves, but not for others. —I am, etc., The British Mbrality.
