MANY DEATHS IN ADELAIDE. fPres» Association —By Telegraph-Copyright.) ADELAIDE, January 12. Five additional deaths are reported as the result of the heat wave, making a total of twelve deaths. January 13. Nine of the heat wave victims were inmates of the Old Folk’s Home at Magill, and the other three were patients at the Children’s Hospital. The temperature for five successive days was well over lOOdeg, while the maximum was reached yesterday at 105 deg. There has been such an abnormal demand for water that gardeners have been requested not to use water during the day when the factories are drawing supplies. BUSH FIRES IN TASMANIA. % HOBART, January 13. Fanned by a high wind, bush fires arc raging in the Zeehan district, causing heavy damage.
