A FAMILY STARVING.

FATHER BEFORE COURT. \ ~ [Special to Dails Times.) CHRISTCHURCH, January 12. According to statements made in the Police Court to-day, a north New Brighton family of six is almost starving, while the father, Adolphus Curline, has been in the hands of the police. After appearing before Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M., to-day, on a number of charges. He was released on bail to allow of his going back to work. The probation officer withdrew a charge of a breach of Curlino’s probationary license, and for a breach of his prohibition order accused was fined £5, or 14 days in gaol. On two charges of obtaining credit by fraud he was remanded till Tuesday on a £SO bail, conditionally on his reporting daily to the police.
