MAHENO LAID UP.

DISPUTE UNSETTLED. CREW OF VESSEL DISCHARGED. (Special to Dails Times.) WELLINGTON, January 12. When the hour of the Mahono’s delayed departure for Melbourne, via the south, arrived to-day no solution had been found to end the dispute between the firemen and the cooks and stewards of the vessel, although the officials of both unions had endeavoured to make some arrangement suitable to both parties. With no other solution of the trouble appearing possible, the Union Company decided to pay off the crow of the vessel and lay her up indefinitely at Wellington.
