(Received Jan. 12, at 7.40 p.m.) The tria has opened of three brohters, Julius, Solomon, and Hermann Barmat, who were arrested two years ago on charges of fraud against the Prussian State Bank. It is alleged that by corrupting officials they obtained credits totalling £750,000 during the inflation period. Nine others are _ accused of bribery and fraud in connection with the affair. The indictment against the Barmats covers 650 typewritten folios, and over 100 witnesses are to be called.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
