(Received Jan. 12, at 7.40 p.m.) The number of bachelors in France has steadily increased since 1920, when the Government decreed that a super income tax of 25 per cent, should bo imposed on bachelors aged 30. The number then taxed was 90,000. Last year it was £260,000. —A. and N.Z. Cable.
