INFANTILE PARALYSIS
THE LOCAL POSITION. ONE POSITIVE AND TWO SUSPECTED CASES. The District Medical Officer of Health reported yesterday that a positive case of infantile paralysis (a girl of nine years) had been reported from Oamaru. Two suspects (a girl of 10 from Mornington and a girl of four from St. Kilda) had been admitted to the Dunedin Hospital. DOMINION NOTIFICATIONS. (Feb United Pbess Association.) WELLINGTON, May 8. For the 21 hours ending at i) a.ni. to-day (he Health Department received only two notifications of cases of infantile paralysis —one each from Maukau and Fcllding. DEATH REPORTED IN CHRISTCHURCH. (Pee United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, May 7. During the 21 hours ended at noon today one fatal case of infantile paralysis—a girl tw.o and a-half years old—and two suspected cases were notified.
