When you can’t get exercise How are you going to keep fit this Winter? In the summer, you get plenty of fresh air and a certain amount of exercise; probably you indulged in lighter meals; and you felt the benefit of all this. Are you feeling quite the same now? Will you feel the same a little later on, when the shortening days make even an afternoon of golf impossible? Isn tit certain that you’ll grow less and less fit as the winter months proceed ? It is certain —unless you take a wise but simple precaution. You need, every day, a substitute for fresh air and exercise, to keep your blood pure, your digestion in good trim, your power to resist illness unimpaired. That substitute is the “little daily _dose” of Kruschen. The six salts which every tiny pinch of Kruschen contains are just the six salts which your body demands for its healthy life. But the artificial life you lead, aggravated by winter conditions, makes it impossible for your system to obtain these vital salts for itself in Nature’s way. You need an aid to Nature, to prevent you from becoming run down, depressed, continually tired, “nervy” an easy prey to colds, ’flu or any epidemic that may come along. The tiny, tasteless dose of Kruschen you take each morning in your breakfast cup of tea is what you need. It makes you fit and cheerful and keeps you so throughout the long winter months. Make up your mind to get a 2/6 bottle of Kruschen straight away and begin the habit of health to-morrow. Kruschen Salts Good Health for a Farthing a Day The adult dose of a sixpenceful (children "half-price**)’ taken' every morning is found, in practice, to be just the right amount for a most invigorating daily tonic. The medicinal dose for persons suffering from pains of Rheumatism and Gout, or habitual constipation, with inactive iiver, etc. m is half to one teaspoonful in a tumbler of hot water before breakfast. Every chemist sells Kruschen Salts in 2/6 bottle*; one bottle contains 160 morning “pinches”—enough to last five months. GET A BOTTLE TO-DAY. GOITRE IN CHILDREN Serious Position in New Zealand Disclosed by Recent Investigations Only in recent years has the prevalence of Goitre caused alarm, but it is now generally recognised how seriously it undermines the entire health of the body. In growing children, it frequently results in physical under-develop-ment or deformity, and mental dullness often verging on imbecility. In New Zealand, the position is becoming most serious. Out of 20.000 school children recently medically examined, no less than 3.000 were found suffering from Goitre. New Zealand specialists have proved that Goitre is due to a deficiency of lodine in the system, and that when the normal lodine content of the body is restored, the goitrous conditions gradually disappear, and normal health of mind and body is restored. Many eminent doctors in England and America have secured excellent results with lodex in treating Goitre. The method is to rub a little lodex into any part of the body, night and morning, for a short period. lodex contains 5 per cent. lodine, and is rapidly absorbed by the skin, the iodine content being carried into the system and the deficiency of this vital element is gradually made good. If you or your children suffer with Goitre, just try a course of lodex for a couple of weeks. You will soon notice a marked reduction in size, and will be encouraged to continue the treatment until the swelling is entirely gone. lodex does not stain, irritate or blister, and costs only 2/- at all Chemists.
