PENINSULA ROAD BOARD.
Messrs \\\ D. Stewart, J. W. Karquhiir, I). Young, J. Eandrcth, and D. J. S, Robertson wore present at the first meeting of |ho newly-elected Peninsula Road Board. ■Mr W. D. Stewart was appointed chairman for the ensuing term, and [ie, welcomed (ho new members of the board. ('orresjiomleiiee from the Otago Expansion League, the Po.'lobello Read Board, the Public Works Department, and Messrs Waddell and Co. was received and dealt with, and accounts wore passed for payment. It was resolved to ask for the removal of a fence on the road line ii? Anderson's Bay subdivision, and to make a new entrance to a property in the llighelilf subdivision. provided that certain preliminary work was done. It was decided to hove an extra horse and dray put on to cart metal to the high road. The clerk was instructed to take the necessary steps to carry out the heavy traffic regulations in the district.
