SIGNIFICANT TREATIES,
POLISH-CZECH UNDERSTANDING,
LONDON, April 25. The Times directs attention to the importance of the Polish-Czech treaties regarding commerce and arbitration which have been signed at Warsaw, and which, it declares, are of first-class importance, as they mark the beginning of a new period in the countries’ relations, and rre a prelude to far-reaching political developments in Central Europe. Hitherto, all attempts at Polish-Czech conciliation had failed, and the fact that the two countries have now reached an understanding can undoubtedly be traced to the common anxiety as to Germany’s intentions concerning-the Polish frontier.
